While it can be a challenging finish to do, it's not as hard as you might think to get started producing beautiful wooden surfaces by hand.What is French polishing?It's a process of applying a shellac coating using a soft cotton rubber to produce a clear, deep, vibrant finish on wooden surfaces.In this 5-hour course, you'll learn:

• How to prepare the shellac

• How to make the rubber

• Pore-filling vs not pore-filling

• Chemical safety

• Making up waxes

• Applying a French polish the traditional way
